Was impressed with our dr and the staff

Dr. Karthik Jonna is everything all doctors should be. He is highly skilled, articulate, patient, confident...and compassionate. I'm two weeks post op from hip replacement surgery and everything turned out exactly as he explained it would, I could not be more pleased! I'm even driving and walking without a limp two weeks post op! Before surgery, he explained all benefits, risks, and expected outcomes. He answered all questions as well as my personal concerns including a detailed run-through of his surgical approach and procedure per my request. Lastly, I had a concern about a blood thinner prescribed by my cardiologist, so I called Dr. Jonna's office on a Sunday morning expecting to leave a message to get a return call on Monday. Instead, the answering service paged Dr. Jonna and he called back and was speaking with me within 15 minutes....again, on a Sunday morning! Dr. Jonna and his staff are superbly organized and caring, my highest recommendations!

Dr.Jonna was very honest with me about what I needed for the full knee replacement. Talk to me before my surgery. I Was in pain couple of days later. Overall my surgery was successful and I would recommend him to anyone that needs a knee replacement. I’m still recovering and in a little pain but I’m happy and satisfied with the outcome. Dr. Jonna is the type of doctor that we should have for every doctor we see! He is compassionate, empathetic, and not rushed to get to the next patient. He prides himself in preparation and research for each case. I know this because my case was unique and he readily contacted other specialists to give him their input concerning my case. My family has made Dr. Jonna our go to doctor for expert orthopedic needs.

I had gone to a supposed top Doc in Houston and my knee failed, Top Doc could have cared less. Dr Jonna took the other doctor’s mess and turned my knee around. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr Jonna. If the other knee ever needs replacing, I pray not, but if it does Dr Jonna will be the doctor who gets the job.

Dr Jonna is an excellent orthopedic doctor with awesome bedside manner and very concerned of his patients and recovery care so he’s highly recommended 10 star. The surgery facility and care team at HCA was excellent and so smooth. The surgery facility is clean and nursing staff was amazing and takes good care of you in preop and postop. The office is always working to improve for quicker patient care, appointments time outside of seeing the doctor and that is even more important to me and reflects the doctor decision. I have put my trust in this orthopedic surgeon to help me with my osteoarthritis in my right knee. From the beginning to the end he has been educational, compassionate and competent. I am a healthcare provider and understand our system very well we tried alternative methods before surgery which gave me relief and then realized we needed to have my knee replacement. That replacement went very well and I went home the same day feeling good and my recovery has been steady with no issues. My surgeon has been available at all times to answer any questions and to check on me. I would recommend Dr. Jonna for all types of joint issues as he reviews the issues and comes up with a plan that is personnel to the patient.

Dr Jonna is an excellent Surgeon. He is genuinely concerned for his parents pre and post surgery.

He is very confident without being cocky at all! He talks to you and treats you like a real human. He explains things to where it's easily understood and answers all your questions without rushing you. The nurses at the hospital ha nothing but great things to say about him.

Dr. Jonna is my hero! After 2 1/2 years of soul sucking pain he performed my hip replacement surgery. Believe me when I say there was no pain afterwards. Only soreness that was relieved with ice and almost no pain medication. I lcannot stress enough how good this Dr is. He listens and cares what you say. He never makes you feel rushed during appointments and he seems so genuinely happy to hear that you are feeling better. I hope if you are considering any joint replacement surgery, you will check with Dr Jonna first.

I had a knee replacement last August 2024 after a fall, and it has never felt right. After many visits with my knee surgeon with x-rays at each visit, my surgeon NEVER once placed a hand on my knee, never once offering me an injection for my knee, my husband and I decided it was time to seek out another orthopedic Dr. I was referred to Dr. Jonna by my PCP. On the first visit with him, he ordered a full set of x-rays to my lower extremities, he manipulated my knee and lower leg and showed us what was wrong with my knee. He was concerned as to what was causing me to still have the pain in my knee, the dizziness and increased episodes of my falling. Not jut telling me that there wasn't anything wrong with my knee, not just jumping to the conclusion that I needed another knee surgery. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would give Dr. Jonna and his staff a 10 +. Thank you Dr. Jonna.

I highly recommend Dr. Jonna. I had a knee revision after having a partial for 2 yrs. My knee cap was grinding and causing pain with the partial. Even though the partial he did was perfect my knee cap was not having it. After 2 yrs. of treatment we both decided it was time to do a full. I wouldn’t trust my care to anyone but Jonna. My knee is on the mend now from a revision and after seeing him today, he is thoroughly pleased with the results. From his bed side manner and constant care and concern for my knee I couldn’t recommend him enough. There is no one else I would trust to take care of me.

Very confident and with good reason he is very good at what he does ..and yet very humble!! He called two of my family Members after surgery ( never known a dr to take the time like that) When I got worried on Friday night I called messaging service and it was not even 2 min and he returned my call. And explained everything. More Dr should be this Loyal and have this AMAZING bedside manner. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH!! Also my scar is so minimal. Dr. Karthik Jonna has impeccable credentials. He is an expert in his field. He is caring and has a personable attitude towards his patients. As soon as he walks in, he greets you and shakes your hand. He treats you with concern and respect. He listens, he lets you ask questions and answers them all. He does not rush, he takes his time with the patient, and thoroughly examines the patient by doing different manual tests to find out the limits of the limb(s). He takes time to explain the report and even shows you on the computer screen the MRI images of your body part that's been damaged and explains what you are seeing and what can be done to address the problem. Dr. Jonna will honestly tell you if you need surgery or if physical therapy alone will address your issue. CLS health and the patients are fortunate to have an exceptional hip and knee orthopedic doctor like Dr. Karthik Jonna!

I have used the same orthopedic doctor for over 3 decades and love and trust him, but when a situation arose that was out of his wheel house, he sent me to Dr Jonna…and highly recommended him (that’s a huge compliment coming from another skilled surgeon) My first meeting with Jonna was exactly what I would want to see from someone I could potentially put in charge of my body. The office and staff were clean and efficient. The X-ray facility is state of the art and right there in the office, Jonna himself started off with exemplary bedside manner. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. My situation required surgery and from start to finish, WOW, what a wonderful experience. The surgery went perfect, Jonna was present the evening of the surgery to check in, the incision was done with skilled hands…clean, precise and 6 weeks out is barely visible (it was approx 10” long). I am more than satisfied with Dr Jonna and will absolutely return to him with any future orthopedic issues.

Dr. Jonna was very professional and respectful. He talked to my parents in ways they could understand, very patient also. He performed a thorough examination. My mom has been to two other different knee specialists in the past 6 months for a knee pain she’s had for almost 2 years now , but has been worsening in the past year. She’s had at least 4 X-rays, two different types of injections (3 of each), a brace, physical therapy, more injections recommended… continues to get worse. We saw Dr. Jonna today and I’m so glad the insurance gave us his name as being within the insurance network. He saw in the Xray an old fracture in the patella (knee cap) not seen in past 4 X-rays, and identified bone degeneration signs more than joint space problem (for which injections would then be indicated). He ordered MRI to further evaluate the knee joint, something that probably should have been done when injections x6 failed to help. He explained very thoroughly what he is looking for in the MRI and what would be the treatment options for the most likely causes of my mom’s knee problem. I strongly recommend Dr. Jonna. We drove across Houston to his office in Clear Lake area. Well worth it. It was easy to make an appointment, the office staff, assistants, and clinic coordinator were all very nice to my elderly mother and that means so much.

Dr Jonna is informative and makes sure you understand what is going on. He describes what the X-ray/MRI is showing him and the best options that he allows you to make. Before surgery that morning he visits told me exactly what to expect after I wake up then after surgery went to talk to my wife and explained what he saw while in there and what he had to do. I will recommend him to anyone!!!

I’ve never had a physician listen to my needs more than Dr. Jonna. Not only does Dr. Jonna have an AMAZING bedside manner, he is one of the most skilled surgeons I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had a knee revision done with Dr. Jonna and he and his team are top notch!!!! He doesn’t use tourniquet (a major concern of mine due to the extensive nerve damage I had with my initial surgeon), he didn’t put me under, just an epidural and a nerve block which leads to faster healing. Dr. Jonna also uses state-of-the-art equipment including a small portable wound vac to aid in healing. I couldn’t be happier in my experience with Dr. Jonna, he is giving me not only my leg back, but my life back as well after 18 months of suffering. Thank you Dr. Jonna & your team!

This was my first visit in a year. Everything was as clean a d spotless as last year. As all my previous visits everyone was as friendly as I remembered. What do you say about him? He's wonderful. Dr. Jonna is the best. I wouldn't go to anybody else. It took me 20 years to find him. I love his honesty, his down to earth persona. I just love him. My husband and I both. Because I trust him. It took a long time for me to find that but I did. Now he's mine. My leg was so deformed and crooked Look at it now straight with my physical therapist. I'm blessed. He's a very confident doctor. I like that. He's not arrogant. He's confident. Oh yeah and he's handsome and that smile. Lol thank you.

Dr Jonna replaced my left hip in august 2022 and have had no problems what so ever….now two years later am having issues with the right….need it done as well and once I decide what I am going to do will not hesitate in letting him do it as well…feel like he is the best of the best.
