We just love her! Husband was very sick, been hospitalized repeatedly. She got the oxygen and the ventilator we needed and as a result, he hasnt been in hospital since, for at least a year. Also set us up for pulmonary rehab. Now he can walk a little on his own instead of me pushing him in a wheelchair. Very caring, honest doctor.

Dr. Pillai literally saved my life! I was having issues with shortness of breath & she ran tests and found that I had blood clots in both lungs. She called me at home when she got the test results and told me to go immediately to the ER as my diagnosis was life threatening! On my follow up appointment she was very caring and did her best to comfort me with my new condition. I highly recommend Dr. Pillai to anyone who needs a Pulmonologist!

We love and respect Dr.Pillai. Been with her since 2019 when Alex was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis by a different Dr. who lead us to believe he was dying and needed a transplant. I was referred to Dr. Pillai when my old pumonologist decided not to go with my new insurance. I was so impressed with her professional manner and her obvious interest in me and my health issues. Dr. Regina is one of the most knowledgeable, helpful, personable doctors out there. She helped me so very much while I was in the hospital with my DVT and PE's. She has a vast knowledge of medications and their reactions with each other (another hospital/doctor did not catch this, but she did); she calmed me and my family in the hospital and assured us I'd be ok. She has been truly amazing and I'm so grateful to have her. I've had follow-up with her, and everything is going great, and she is taking wonderful care of me. I would HIGHLY recommend her.

The stuff people are saying about Dr. Pillai is accurate. She is great. I showed her some recent x-rays other physicians said looked fine. But I found out they weren't actually fine when she pointed out and explained various things she noticed about them.

I've been a patient of Dr. Pillai's for a number of years now. She has treated me for pulmonary issues in concert with my ENT physician, Dr. Carolina Yoon, as well as, sleep apnea. I've suffered from sinus issues for years and after moving to League City in 2007, my sinus issues grew worse year over year. Dr. Yoon was extremely concerned with the number of sinus flare-ups I was experiencing and worked with Dr. Pillai to find a solution that didn't involve steroids. Dr. Pillai recommend Fasenra, which took some time to get approved, but which has been a real 'life saver' for me. Furthermore, I have been using a CPAP machine as a result of Dr. Pillai's insistence to get into a sleep study. My life is far richer and my health much better due to the diligence of Dr. Pillai and her staff. She is a true professional and cares deeply for her patients.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pillai’s for over 5 years. I don’t often write reviews about doctors however, Dr. Pillai is exceptional. She is very attentive, thorough, and gentle. She explains her recommendations so that I understand completely. But, if I do have questions she goes over her answers again. I have MAC and Bronchecstasis- neither is fun. When tests are needed they are ordered quickly and results are quick. I am not an easy patient. I am sensitive to many medications. Dr. Pillai does not give up. If my problems stem from other problems I.e. ENT or Gastric, she is quick to recommend seeing those specialists. I highly recommend Dr. Regina Pillai. Dr. Pillai and her staff are the epitome of professionalism. They treat you as a person and are not interested in making money off of you but in getting you better. I am a case in point. I came to Dr. Pillai several years ago morbidly obese weighing over 300 lbs. I had asthma and sleep apnea. Big surprise. She has treated me for asthma problems, pneumonia, bronchitis, and sleep apnea over the years. I finally got the message to lose weight and have lost 100 lbs. so far. I no longer have a need for the CPAP machine I have used for years and my asthma is much better as well so I have been discharged from care. It was a strange to see my doctor so happy to have a patient leaving care. She was genuinely happy for me. That is something I hope every person can experience at least once. It felt so good!!! Dr. Pillai was very positive and up beat. The front office told me I was late for my appointment. But I was 10 min early. Trying to tell me my appt was at 0830 hrs when I was told 0900 hrs. I didn't appreciate them arguing with me, however, I was able to get in straight away and I don't know if the doctor was aware or not. It ended well with the medical staff. The front office never said anything else and that's fine.

We went to Dr Pillai when my mom was told she needed to start taking an expensive medication for fibrosis. She was so good with my mom. She gave us great information and explained what was happening and a course of action. The scaring is being monitored and she isnt on the medication. Turns out it was gastric causes. Who knew? I so appreciate her. She is sweet, caring, knowledgeable. Such a huge relief. A Big 10 out of 10!! Thank you so much Dr Pillai!!!!

The thing I like about visiting Dr.Pillai today my first time was the clarity of what is going on with me and how things going to work with my treatment. Even with test results X-Ray, CT scan right in front of you she looking over and showing what she’s seeing. This brings to me understanding of what’s going on. Dr. Pillai has been a God send to my mom, who has been intubated twice for high CO2. Since we started seeing Dr. Pillai, my mom now sleeps with a ventilator at home and uses Trelegy. Both have helped her tremendously. Dr. Pillai truly cares about her patients and will do everything she can to help them and make their lives better. I definitely recommend her!

It's been 8 years ago since I became a patient of Dr. Pillai after getting discharged from the hospital for 2x MRSA Pneumonia and Sepsis. I chose Dr. Pillai as a referral from my infusion specialist at CL Specialties and so glad I did! Sorry it's been this long to give my review and express my Deep Thanks! I wasn't in really good shape when I first saw Dr Pillai, but early on, her kind, compassionate and confident demeanor was a Gift to me at that point in time. Later on, probably what really endeared me to Dr Pillai was when a Radiologist from a satellite of a large hospital system commented that I had suspicious areas on a then recent CT Scan and it needed to be closely monitored and further evaluated. Dr. Pillai w/out an ounce of hesitation flat out said that this Radiologist was wrong in his interpretation of the scan and I should not worry and that we would get another scan in a few months to confirm. Well after that time passed and certainly at a new imaging center, the new Radiologist and Dr Pillai concurred that I was not dealing with any catastrophic disease in my lung and a later followup further confirmed that. I can't begin to express how relieved I was. Additionally, Dr Pillai later treated me for a couple of bouts of bronchitis and She has helped successfully treat a sleep disorder I have. I haven't had to see her in 6 years since! If you are facing any Pulmonary issues or challenges, I strongly urge that you get in contact with Dr. Pillai, you will receive the finest care from a highly compassionate and competent MD. Very confident in her diagnosis I had a biopsy because of a lung mass in 2019 bY another doctor… I found her & she assured me I didn’t even need to go though that surgery. . After another ct scan, I no longer had a mass on my right ?? I simply have laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR).
