Absolutely fabulous doctor and his his staff is amazing

Dr. Kenneth Brooks and his staff were awesome. I had 2 procedures for a torn biceps tendon and both times Dr. Brooks and his staff did a great job. They answered all questions, explained everything to me and made me comfortable the entire time. 3 months after both procedures I feel great, better than I did before and have been back in the gym for almost a month already. I recommended my mom to Houston Methodist for her knee surgery and she is just as pleased as I am with her procedure. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Brooks and his staff, you will be very pleased. Thank you Dr. Brooks!

I have been to many doctor's offices in my 55 years and I can honestly say I have never encountered a provider like Dr. Kenneth Brooks. He treats me with respect and ACTUALLY listens to me. He is incredibly empathetic and engaging. He is NOT condescending or stuffy. I walk out of his office feeling like I was actually CARED for. His staff is very professional and friendly. They are warm, friendly and are genuine. I highly recommend him.

Original review posted in 2017: Dr. Brooks goes above and beyond to carefully explain what is wrong and how he will fix it. For me, Dr. Brooks proposed an extensive reconstruction. I wasn't confident in his opinion so I went to three top orthopedists in Washington DC for second opinions. All three agreed that the surgery Dr. Brooks proposed would fix my knee. One flatly told me he doesn't have the skill to pull off the surgery, despite being a nationally awarded surgeon. I returned to Houston and underwent the surgery. Nine months later, I am pleased. Dr. Brook's work is impeccable. Update 10/19: It's been over three years since my knee surgery and I am still 100% satisfied with the results. Only because I had my knee surgery was I able to make a career change that vastly improved my quality of life. I work in the medical field and I frequently witness surgeons rush through surgeries and sloppily staple or suture their patients back together in a way that leaves burly scars, not Dr. Brooks. He carefully sutured my knee, so that all is left to attest to the enormous surgery I had, is a thin white line that is only noticeable when I point it out. The more I see of the medical field, the more I am impressed with Dr. Brooks.

Dr Brooks is a great listener and explains things in a way that's easy to understand. His staff are always friendly and make sure you're good before the doctor comes in to see you.

My mother recently had a knee replacement by Dr. Brooks and he did amazing. From her initial visit, to the post op, Dr. Brooks has been kind, answered all of our questions and has great bedside manner. In my opinion Dr. Brooks has been the best doctor I have met to date and he seems to really care about his patients. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Brooks has been my wife's surgeon (2 shoulder surgeries) and mine (2 knee surgeries) . He takes the time to talk with you, give you options with the pros and cons of each. He talks with you and not at you. None better!

I've been a Registered Nurse in critical care for 25 yrs. I've read many reviews and researched many orthopedic surgeons prior to making my decision on which physician I would allow to perform my surgery. I'm so glad I chose Dr. Brooks to perform my arthroscopic knee surgery over 5 wks ago. He's a very skilled , compassionate and caring surgeon with a great bedside manner. I highly recommend.

Saw doctor Brooks today for my shoulder pain and he was very thorough and informative of what he thought this issue is. I would recommend him if you are having shoulder issues.

I have a had more than 8 surgeries and I can tell you Dr. Brooks is one of my favorite surgeons ever. He listens to you and honestly is great at his job. He did a complicated surgery on my leg and I have had no problems with it, when it was a possibility for me to have more than few. Unfortunately, I have to have a couple more surgeries done and he will be doing them all. Its hard to trust and find a good doctor sometimes, I found one in Dr. Brooks.

Dr. Brooks and his team are the best I have ever dealt with and due to my previous profession I have had many injuries. They talk to as if you are part of their personal family.

Dr. Brooks is amazing. I followed him over from Methodist and I won’t see anyone else when it comes to shoulders or knees. I recommend him to all of my friends and co-workers and will continue to see him. I love that he cares about his patients and takes care and always listens to me and my concerns and addresses them.

2 months after a knee injury I underwent an arthroscopic repair of a large meniscus tear by Dr Brooks. A few weeks later I am walking without any help and my knee is back to normal, I can hardly believe it since I had so much pain and difficulty walking. His bedside manners are impeccable and inspire confidence. Great job.
