Jose Simon Montelongo Jr, DO

Dr. Jose Simon Montelongo Jr. is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in vascular surgery. Born and raised in Houston, TX, he earned dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor and received his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He completed his general surgery residency at University Medical Center, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, followed by two years of advanced vascular training at the Michael DeBakey Cardiovascular Institute at Houston Methodist Hospital. There, he gained extensive experience in managing complex conditions involving the arterial, venous, and lymphatic systems.

Dr. Montelongo’s clinical interests include peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms and dissections, venous disease, and dialysis access. He is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive vascular care and approaches each patient with the same compassion and dedication he would offer a family member.
