Dania Albaba, MD

Dr. Dania Albaba is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in addiction psychiatry, with a particular clinical interest in perinatal psychiatry and postpartum mood disorders. She completed her psychiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident, followed by an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Brigham. She is currently an Instructor at Harvard Medical School and works part-time at the renowned McLean Hospital and Massachusetts General Brigham.

Her research and clinical work focus on the intersection of addiction and perinatal mental health, including substance use in pregnancy and the postpartum period, alongside broader interests in global mental health and trauma-informed care. She has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in journals including The Lancet, Journal of ECT, and International Journal of Public Health, and has presented her work nationally and internationally.

Dr. Albaba has received multiple honors recognizing her research and clinical contributions, and remains committed to advancing evidence-based, equitable mental health care for women and families across the perinatal period.
