Professional Statement

Dr. Chhabra is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Chhabra was born in Elyria, Ohio, while her father was in his Orthopedic Surgery training. It is no small surprise that her dad was her hero and she was determined at a young age to become a surgeon. She grew up in Southern California and attended Johns Hopkins University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. After earning a Master's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Chhabra completed her Orthopaedic surgery residency at UTMB. During her residency, she earned the Resident Research award, Golden Bone Excellence in Teaching and Open Growth Plate Excellence in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery awards two years in a row. She additionally has completed 10 surgical mission trips around the world, including Mexico, India, Guatemala, Ecuador and Haiti. Her time working with these diverse populations helped to further grow her dedication to service for underserved communities.

Dr. Chhabra then completed her Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Baylor College of medicine, training with leaders within the field at Texas Children's Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children Houston.

Dr Chhabra is the real deal! I was especially impressed by her level of thoroughness and clinical judgment. She identified a subtle, nondisplaced fracture that could have easily been missed, and that early diagnosis likely prevented a far more serious outcome. Her attention to detail, clear communication, and patient-centered approach gave us tremendous confidence in our son’s care. We are deeply grateful and highly recommend her.

Dr. Chhabra is a wonderful, caring physician who worked patiently with our daughter with her fracture and talked directly to her. She explained things in a way that kids can understand and was reassuring and attentive to details, asking many questions to clearly understand what happened. I appreciate her conservative treatment and her medical advice. She is a great orthopedic for your kids!

We are so grateful for Dr Chhabra! She treated my daughter for a serious elbow dislocation and fracture. My daughter is autistic and has quite a few other medical complications including a history of AMPS/CRPS. Dr Chhabra from the beginning was amazing at looking at the big picture of her overall health and goals when making recommendations. My daughter needed 2 surgeries but has made a full recovery and is able to return to competitive gymnastics! She is kind, with excellent bedside manner and a thoughtful and thorough doctor. We have had experience with several pediatric orthopedists in the area and hands down Dr Chhabra is the best!
